Tema July 18, RNG – The Superintendent
Bishop, Jesus Generation Ministries, says that Ghanaians are losing confidence in the
Church because of the impious activities of "some men of God".

Rt. Reverend Nana Anyani-Boadum says, "There is
is the controversial mistrust regarding the motives of some men and women of God in
this country; there is a super
disenchantment with organized religion in this country; there are so many
the cynicism in the public space against the Church of God, the cynicism that is born
painful disillusion. "

He said that at the launch of the
thirtieth anniversary of Manna Mission Incorporated at Manna Mission Church,
Teshie.

Rt. Dr. Anyani-Boadum stressed the need
serious public posture against the church saying, "It's not that
anyone who wants to be too hard with the church. People see that the church that
Jesus formed deviates. "

In this vein, the cleric has informed that there is
clearly defined the negative experiences in the public space that provided
empirical evidence for the level of mistrust against the church in the extent
state lawmakers worried about church activities.

Rt. The Reverend Dr. Anyani-Boadum informed that the
The church of Ghana was centenary: "And as a vintage wine, one expects to
as the wine ages, the taste is better, but what is the audience
image of the Church in Ghana today?

The very reverend observed that "there was
no end result in life that offers unlimited possibilities without

pastors he insisted that the concern about the church was not misplaced, but
believed that there were enough laws in Ghana to address the shortcomings of
clergy, "Because any attempt to go beyond the laws and introduce new
legislation can undermine our civil liberties. "

The president of Manna Mission Incorporated,
Dr. Seth Ablorh, in an interview with Ghana News Agency (GNA) after
the launch, agreeing with Rt. Anyani-Boadum insisting that "the government
can not regulate the Church of God. The head of the church is Jesus. Jesus drove
the apostles and apostles led the rulers to rule the church; if something is going
badly and some young people say we're going to come in and do the discipline, no
whatever their sincerity, it is false. "

Reverend Dr. Ablorh said just as a discipline in
the nation belonged to the police and other security agencies, discipline in
the Church of God belonged to the Christian councils so the government
should empower boards to discipline their homes by insisting that all
the churches belonged to the councils.

Reverend Dr. Ablorh informed that the Church
will resist any attempt by the state to regulate its activities because the
Church was able to strengthen its internal mechanisms to deal with
flaws in church practices.
