Ghanaians must reject Mahama nuclear power plant "re-enumerated"
The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) told Ghanaians not to be wrong in voting for former President John Mahama in the 2020 general election.
At a press conference in Accra on April 7, 2019, the NPP called John Mahama a "redenominated candidate" who has not changed his behavior.
John Boadu, secretary general of the NPP at the press conference, said: "Say no to a redenominated candidate (Mahama) because it never changes. Mahama – the value is the same. More importantly, the NDC alternative under Mahama is still scary, "he said.
According to him, the record of the fourth republic of Ghana in the areas of growth and the economy clearly indicates that the nuclear power plant is being built and is developing while the NDC has the firm intention to destroy and erode the gains.

The NPP said the previous administration of Mahama had virtually anchored the economy by moving Ghana's oil-rich growth from 14% to 3.4%.
"The NDC took us into the HIPC Initiative but did not have the courage to admit it, even though it was registered with an IMF program in 2000. It took President Kufuor to get the bulk of Ghana's debt be canceled and that Ghana be excluded from the IMF program. Mr Boadu said that instead of former President Maham apologizing to the Ghanaian for wasting public funds, he is rather busy using these same dubious infrastructure projects to "scandalous inflated prices" like during its 2020 campaign.
