The Afrobeat singer and Afropop singer, Wendy Addo, better known as Wendy Shay, revealed in an interview what she was doing to stay relevant in the entertainment industry.

According to the great success of Uber Driver, the Ghanaian entertainment industry is dominated by men, which will provoke controversies that will incite Ghanaians to pay attention.

She added that being a good girl in the industry does not sell and that it is recommended to generate controversy in order to attract attention.

"This industry is dominated by men. As long as you do not do something extraordinary and amazing, that will cause controversy here and there, people will not pay attention, Ghanaians love the drama – it's not always the case of the good girls, said Wendy Shay.

The new artist of the year also said that although she received a lot of reproaches, especially on social networks, she did not pay attention to them.

Since the beginning of her musical career, Wendy Shay has been involved in several controversies, ranging from her alleged badual relationship with her boss, Bullet, to her recent photo with former president Kufour who caused a stir on social media.
