The Ghanaian Post Commercial Officer, Mr. Jonathan Ansah, who led the delegation to the meeting, said he was optimistic about the collaboration, adding that arrangements would be made to train the GSS team on the application to generate accurate data. for a successful census.

GhanaPostGPS is Ghana's official digital property addressing system, which ensures that all sites in the country are taken into account.

With GhanaPostGPS, each site has a unique numeric address, consisting of the postal code (region, district and area code) and a unique address.

The GSS is to undertake a national census in 2020.

An experimental census of population and housing is underway to provide a basis for collecting accurate data and reports.

Context

GhanaPostGPS was launched by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on October 18, 2017.

It was intended to facilitate policy initiatives and planning by the government, to provide accurate data for planning and service delivery to service providers, and ultimately to facilitate the identification and research of service providers.
