Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey (MP) is in Germany to attend the 2019 Climate and Security Conference scheduled for Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

The deputy. The Foreign Minister who arrived in Berlin on Monday 3 June 2019 at the invitation of her counterpart, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, will participate in a high-level round table on political responses threatening climate change poses for international peace.

She is also expected to deliver the Keynote Address on Climate Change and Socio-Economic Conflict.

In Berlin, the Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey (MP) will meet bilaterally with Jan Hecker, foreign and security adviser to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Right Hon. Markfield, Minister of State for Asia and the Pacific, Bureau of Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in London.

The Ghanaian Minister of Foreign Affairs was accompanied by the Director of the Europe Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Doris Brese, Minister's Office Director Carolyn Oppong-Ntiri and other Ministry officials Foreign Affairs.

The delegation, led by the Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey met Ghana's ambbadador to Germany, Gina Ama Blay, and senior officials from the Berlin mission.
