Representatives of the Government of Ghana and a group of media men arrived in Madrid, Spain on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 to cover the Vis-à-Vis festivals of Ghanaian music groups "Kyekyeku" and groups of musicians. The FRA.

The Vis-a-Vis is a cultural project organized by Spanish public diplomacy Casa África in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and with the collaboration of the Union of Musicians of Ghana (MUSIGA), from the Spanish Embbady in Accra and Ghana. Embbady in Madrid.

This year's Ghana Vis-a-Vis Accroding marks the 10th edition of the Cultural Cooperation Project, which aims to raise awareness of African music in Spain and has already taken place in nine other African countries.

To date Vis-a-Vis has visited Senegal (twice), Ethiopia, South Africa, Côte d'Ivoire, Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Tanzania and Angola.

The "Kyekyeku & FRA groups" were selected from among 64 groups who applied for a hearing as part of the Casa Visa-Vis Ghana Espana project.

The two groups that will perform and represent Ghana are expected to promote Ghana on their tour of the most important festivals in Spain this month.

The group arrived two weeks ago and has played in several festivals and is expected to produce a few.

The Ghanaian delegation will request the High Commission of Ghana, on 17 July 2019, to inform and update the Government Office regarding participation in the events and the plan developed for the festivals by Casa Africa.

The High Commission of Ghana has been instrumental in coordinating the team since its arrival.
