A group of women who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of activity have been inducted into the Women's Hall of Fame in Ghana, an initiative of Business Executive Magazine.
Inductees come from a variety of business and professional backgrounds across the country.
The group should become an advocacy tool to help formulate and implement policies. Suggest the inclusion of women in critical thinking and help as many women as possible from all walks of life achieve their highest goals!
They must also make sure to sponsor at least two women or ladies every year.
Cynthia Morrison, the Minister for Women's Welfare and Social Welfare, asked women to meet expectations and leave a legacy that will remain in their memories long after they leave.
A leader has been set up to lead the affairs of the group and television personality. Gifty Anti was unanimously chosen as the group's president of professional and renowned business women.
In her acceptance speech, Gifty Anti urged the group to look for higher laurels and to bring with them other women who need their help.
"We are all good, that's why we are here. That's why we were chosen as the first inductees. But what will we accomplish after such a great honor? Yes, so far we have been successful, despite our difficulties and scars. But what's next? What is the next level we aspire to reach? "
Ms. Afua Huoadjeto of the Image Consortium and an badistant organizer of the NDC for women were named vice-chair of the group. Hitz FM presenter Doreen Avio was chosen as secretary and Pastor Francisca Duncan Williams was appointed chaplain.
This is the third time that Gifty Anti has been honored by the Business Executive. The first took place in 2015, when she was rewarded for her excellence in the media. In 2017, she received a Life Time Achievement Award.
She recently dedicated her first book, "A Bit of Me", which sold 500 copies in three days and 1,000 copies in less than a month.
