A 24-year-old student at the University of Cape Coast School of Medicine, Gifty Frimpong has been ordained a minister of the gospel in the Assemblies of God Church.

His ordination comes a few days after completing intensive four-year studies at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Kormantse South Campus in the Central Region. She is the youngest person to be ordained a minister of the church.

As part of her ministerial effort, Pastor Gifty Frimpong is slated to undergo a year of service at the Jehovah Jireh Assemblies of God Church at Adenta Japan Motors, near Lakeside Estates, in preparation for the work ahead.

Sacrifices

Addressing graduate students at the ceremony, Assemblies of God Ghana Superintendent Reverend Professor Paul Frimpong Manso acknowledged the sacrifices faculty and students have made over the years, especially in 2020.

“Despite the challenges, you weathered the violent storm to get your degree. As ambassadors of the gospel, you have been trained and equipped with everything you need to be successful in your ministry.

“The seminar has given you knowledge broad enough to allow you to adapt to a wide range of real-life ministry situations,” he said.

The Reverend Prof. Frimpong Manso urged graduates to prepare for low and high times, but encouraged them not to give up their resolve to live above reproach by serving Christ Jesus.

“I can promise you that you will never go astray or have trouble with any authority, as long as you stay within the context of the scriptures.

“Some of you will start your ministerial work from scratch. Others may be assigned to already existing churches and yet some of you will help your senior ministers.

“Some of you will pitch your tents in urban centers and others in rural areas. Wherever you are, I expect nothing but the best in your respective endeavors, ”said the Superintendent.

The Reverend Prof. Frimpong Manso also urged graduate ministers to refrain from unnecessary comparison and competition, and not to follow charlatans.

“I mean the modern day fetish magicians and priests who march past and pose as prophets of God. Be true and honest men and women of God and not 419 “God of man”, ”he stressed.

Challenges

Seminary president Reverend John Kwabena Boachie said one of the end times ministerial challenges was how certain servants portrayed themselves as emperors and kings.

He said that such ministers ruled as lords over the flocks God entrusted to them.

In a statement at the ordination ceremony, Pastor Frimpong thanked God for the blessing and protection given to him through the four-year training.

“I thank God for his gift of life and his mercy for my life. I am determined to win more souls for Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God, ”she said.

The chief pastor of the Church of the Assemblies of God of Jehovah Jireh, Reverend Dr Joyce Frimpong, who is also Gifty’s mother, said she had promised God that if Gifty was protected from her infant stage to the adulthood, she would be offered to God. to serve him in all the days of his life.

“So Gifty deepened her relationship with God as she begins to serve Him and win souls for His Kingdom,” she noted.
