GIJ Women's Commissioner Edna Boakye pays tribute to women at Gifty Anti Women Of GIJ Awards

The Women's Commissioner of the Ghana Journalism Institute, Edna Agnes Boakye, honored the women of the Institute on April 8th at the first edition of the GIJ Gify Anti Women Awards.

The prizes rewarded 10 women who distinguished themselves in different spheres of communication during the evening in the honor of Oheneyere Gifty Anti.

According to Edna Boakye, the awards were to recognize women who were making great strides at the institute and to encourage them to excel, such as the highlight of Women's Week GIJ SRC.

She emphasized that this initiative was intended to create precedence that women's efforts in the institute will not go unnoticed.

Some teachers have also been honored for their inspiration and contribution to the lives of the students of the institute.

The award ceremony was awarded by Oheneyere Gifty Anti, who presented the ultimate prize, the Peoples Woman Award.
