Gillian Anderson faced stiff competition for top honors at the 2021 Screen Actors Guild Awards – including co-star Olivia Colman.
Gillian won the Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Drama Series award for her performance as Margaret Thatcher in The Crown – one of the night’s most prestigious accolades.

In her acceptance speech, Gillian said, “To Queenie Olivia you won all the awards under the sun, and to Emma you deserve it with me for such a mature and accomplished performance,” she said. declared.

Gillian has previously opened up about the complications of a relationship with a coworker, discussing the boundaries she and Peter have in place.
The star revealed to Harper’s Bazaar, “For our own sanity, and indeed, for the benefit of the relationship, we had very clear boundaries.
“I’m not going to comment on the script, but you are not allowed to comment on the performance!”
This is Gillian’s third SAG Award and Celebration victory for the cast of The Crown, who also won for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.
