New Life Homeopathic Clinic General Manager Dr Mark Agyei has warned Ghanaians against consuming drugs without proper recommendation from certified doctors.

According to him, the problem of self-medication among young people not only destroyed lives, but resulted in the premature death of many people.

While the campaign against self-medication has continued for years, several studies show that the prevalence of self-medication among adults in Africa is on the rise.

This, Dr Mark Agyei blamed people who patronized the drugs based on suggestions from friends and family.

“There are side effects of many drugs that people take when they are not well, but because they are not aware of these consequences it turns out to have dangerous effects on them.

“An incorrect self-diagnosis can worsen the condition of patients instead of relieving them.

“My advice is that patients should try to contact doctors for proper medical advice. There may not be a negative impact with the use of regular drugs for stage 1 patients, but self-medication is dangerous for patients in the second and third stages, ”he said.

Dr Mark Agyei, who established the New Life Homeopathy Clinic around 9 nine years ago, added that he has extended homeopathic treatment service to residents of Takoradi in the western region by opening a second branch.

This will be in addition to the centre’s headquarters in Dansoman in Accra and the first branch in Kumasi.

Speaking to the media at the opening ceremony, Dr Mark Agyei said his wish to open a new branch in Takoradi is to enable it to reach people with acute and chronic illnesses such as stroke cerebral, infertility, prostate disorders, high blood pressure, diabetes. , premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction.

The award-winning entrepreneur added that the mission of the management of Homeopathic Clinic New Life is to establish branches across the country to find solutions to the health issues facing Ghanaians.

The Takoradi branch of the New Life homeopathic clinic, just like the head office, can strengthen a state-of-the-art laboratory, physiotherapy unit, ultrasound machine, OPD, consultation rooms, conference room, men’s services and women and a dispensary, as well as other units.

The new branch of the New Life Homeopathic Clinic is located in Airport Ridge, behind the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Takoradi.
