The 2019 pilot season just has to be a little more fabulous.
The CW issued a pilot order to Glamour, a potential drama series that counts Damon Wayans Jr. (Happy, Happy Together) among its executive producers.
The project focuses on a non-conformist high school graduate who completed the internship of his life in a cosmetics company … whose products he had already seen on YouTube.
Wayans Jr. will produce alongside Kameron Tarlow (Hot in Cleveland) and Jordon Nardino (Star Trek: Discovery, Smash), which will also write the pilot script.
As shown on our practical driver guide, Glamour joins five other drivers already competing at the CW: a potential series Batwoman, the fallout of the two Jane the Virgin and Riverdale, more contemporary takes the Nancy Drew novels and the 1987 vampire film Lost boys.
Earlier this week, The CW began a renewal frenzy, giving additional seasons to almost all of its current scripted series – with the exception of the veteran drama The 100 and rookie series All Americans and Roswell, New Mexico.
