The 9th edition of the African Armory Fighting Championship takes flight today at DG Hathiramani Hall at Accra Stadium.
Fifteen countries across the continent are fighting for supremacy in the uncompromising competition expected. The weigh-in yesterday at Sports Hall gave a taste of what gamers can expect.
The captain of the Armed Forces National Arm, Golden Arms, Edward Asamoah, promised fireworks. For the 36 year old, Golden Arms' performance in the Nigeria Championship, where they have won 22 historic medals, shows how well the team is prepared.
He told william.com: "We are ready for the challenge We want to welcome and win, we do not underestimate any camp, we are in the best shape to make Ghana proud."
The Ghana is hosting the rest of the continent in a two-day competition that ends tomorrow.
Cabo Ocansey, Tahiru Haruna, Issah Amugi, Nii Darko Dodoo, Welbeck, Alberta Amponsah among others form the Ghana team
Meanwhile, Go On Energy Drink, a product of Twellium Industries, a major sponsor of the tournament presented cartons of Go On drinks as part of the support for the two-day championship
