The bike offers different levels of badistance that you can change in the GocycleConnect application. Preloaded profiles, such as "City" and "Eco", are sensible and explain themselves. However, the "Custom" tab, which allows you to create a driver profile from scratch, interests me more. You can decide when the engine will start – especially the power the rider needs to generate – and the strength of the badistance. The GX's 20-inch wheels are larger than a conventional Brompton, but smaller than a road bike or a traditional downhill beast. I liked the driving position, which is pretty straight thanks to the right handlebar, and I have never felt like a child's toy once. Inside the frame is a 300Wh battery. Gocycle says the GX will transport you up to 40 miles on a single charge, depending on the terrain and the configuration of your support engine. It takes seven hours to recharge or four with an optional quick charger. Unfortunately, I could not test either claim during my brief stint on the bike. The battery is removable, but you can not buy additional batteries and keep a new one in your bag.
The bike is available to order now for £ 2899. It is located between the entry level GS (£ 2499) and the G3 (£ 3,499), both of which use the oldest and slowest disbadembly method.
