Friends and family of 26-year-old Lee Wallace have asked the public to donate to their GoFundMe page to help them in their quest to defeat a rare form of cancer.
The young man is from Mullingar and is currently suffering from a very rare form of bone sarcoma in the pelvis.
According to the GoFundMe page created for Lee, this is a very rare disease, especially among young adults.
It's such a rare disease that Irish or British doctors have never seen this type of tumor before.
It is a mixture of osteosarcoma, Ewings sarcoma and spindle cell sarcoma. A definitive diagnosis has not been possible yet.
The GoFundMe page has been created to badist you in Lee's ongoing treatment, which will include a wide range of medical expertise and surgery to amputate the right side of his pelvis and leg.
In the message on the GoFundMe page, they said: "The friends and family of Lee Wallace (26) need your financial help to help him conquer cancer, he is currently suffering from a very rare bone sarcoma in the basin.
"The financial aid will contribute to Lee's ongoing treatment, which includes trips abroad to gain additional medical expertise and surgery to amputate the right side of his pelvis and leg."
He had to travel to Birmingham several times for medical badistance.
Unfortunately, the pelvic tumor developed and began spreading cancer to the lungs.
This has made it all the more vital the search for a cure for his family.
The Post added: "After doing a lot of research, we are aware of the treatment options available in other countries, but unfortunately these treatments are very expensive.
"Your financial support will give Lee the best chance of finding a cure and a chance to live."
The page has received considerable support and has already raised 116,075 euros on their prison of 250,000 euros at the time of writing this article.
