Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp revealed that Joe Gomez would not be in shape for a few weeks and that he had already been dismissed from the last Champions League match with Bayern Munich.
The defender fractured one leg in the Burnley game on Dec. 5 and was originally scheduled to be away for six weeks.
The England international however suffered a setback in its recovery and, after 11 missed matches, it will not be ready for the visit of the champions of Germany on February 19th.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Joe Gomez would not be fit for several weeks
The defender fractured his leg at the Burnley match on Dec. 5.
Klopp said Gomez was already out of the Champions League first leg with Bayern Munich
"No, it's not a realistic target, after that, anytime," said the Reds boss about Gomez's possible return.
Klopp also excluded Trent Alexander-Arnold from Monday's trip to West Ham, the back defender having yet to recover from a knee injury.
He also dismissed the gambling charges. The ground staff, at half-time, had only cleared the snow from Liverpool's penalty area in Wednesday's 1-1 draw against Leicester.
Klopp also rejected accusations of bad luck on the part of the ground staff in the draw with Leicester
"The first half, we had 80% of the ball, so only one team suffered and that's us," he said. "It was clear that our ground staff had tried to solve the problem, but they did not have enough manpower.
They realized how difficult it was when they started doing it, not before. There was no plan, no one told them, I can swear, to clean only our side or our box.
"I hear people saying that it's unsportsmanlike, but it's a benefit if their box is clear, so it's better to defend yourself."
"It's no coincidence that in the first half, we scored a goal in a box full of snow. It's like that, we can not change it.
