Captain Tom Cairney signs a new contract with the club until 2014.
What a disappointing season for Fulham fans. After the championship win against Aston Villa at Wembley last May, and owners spending more than £ 100m for new players, expectations of an arrival in the first half sounded bad.
Twelve months later, after a defeat after losing and many goals conceded, we are back in the tough Championship. However, there has recently been a change in the fortunes of our big club. After the dismissal of Jokanovic and Ranieri, young Scott Parker took the reins of running a club for the first time in his career.
We can not hold him responsible for his first four games, lost to Chelsea, Leicester, Liverpool and Man City. A challenge for any new manager, not to mention a camp totally devoid of intelligence.
He gave the players confidence, especially those who were part of the club last season. With three straight wins and no goals conceded, we have to wonder what the result could have been if Scotty had been in charge from the start of this campaign?
NOW THE BEST NEWS FROM FULHAM FANS:
Our fantastic captain promised his future to the club by signing a new contract of at least 2024.
I'm sure Scott Parker helped him make that decision. The club must now act quickly and give Parker the job he wants to help Fulham return to the Premier League.
What a good time for Cairney to announce this. Maybe if Parker is NOW badigned the role of manager for next season, others could do the same? Sessegnon, Mitrovic and even Babel?
Thank you, Tom, you have made the sorrow of this lugubrious season so much brighter.
Oh, and congratulations to you and your wife for the arrival of the new baby.
Faithful, loyal, faithful.
We see ourselves at the helm of the team next season.
