Complaint

In the complaint to the NMC, government insists that a careful review of the content of the documentary shows that there are topics totally disconnected from "the purpose of the documentary announced".

"The substance of the story that is the subject of the complaint is, in many essential elements, completely false, a product of misrepresentation of facts, wild speculation of the producer … and even betraying a desperate attempt on the part of Multimedia … to defame "President Akufo-Addo.

"We sincerely hope that this complaint will be the subject of a serious investigation by the Commission in accordance with the journalistic standards published by the Commission and the ethics of the media profession," added the press release.

In the petition dated March 13, 2019, the government stated: "We view the disputed documentary as part of the boundless slander of Manbadeh Awuni Azure, Joynews and his affiliates, which was aimed at distorting government policy and dealing with serious problems of national interest against vigilance ".
