A government delegation led by the Minister of National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, met with the diplomatic community on security measures.

The delegation briefed diplomats on the success of the national security operation that allowed the rescue of two Canadian women abducted and the arrest of suspected criminals involved in the kidnapping.

The government has also taken this opportunity to badure the diplomatic community of the general preparation of security agencies to deal with all kinds of crimes.

The government announced in a statement Wednesday that national security agents had completed an operation that saved the two Canadian women abducted in the Ashanti region on June 4.

The statement encouraged the media and commentators to be cautious in their public comments on security issues so as not to jeopardize other related operations.
