Kennedy Agyapong, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliament for Assin Central, revealed that prominent party men had asked him to destroy renowned investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The controversial politician confessed that after setting up an energetic defense for the party, some members of the NPP have now decided to embarrbad and destroy his reputation.

Mr. Agyapong following documentary number 12, which exposed mbadive corruption to the Ghana Football Federation, resulting in the resignation of GFA president, Kwasi Nyantakyi, attacked Anas on several occasions calling him a fraud and a criminal.

He further published some pictures that he claimed to be those of the investigative journalist.

In an interview with Oman FM, the NPP spokesman added that he would not seek re-election because of the way the NPP embarrbades him after being used to destroy Anas and the cabinet Tiger Eye PI.

"After mounting a fierce defense for the party against Underground journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, I was disgraced in Parliament as a child," said the angry lawmaker of Assin's center.

He added, "Look at how the party is using me and will end up dishonoring me. I have enough and I stop, I tell you in clear terms. Before the release of the Anas video, those who were lucky enough to see her were alarmed and knew it would put the party in a dark light. They sent emissaries to my house at dawn to defend the party; afterwards, they shame me in parliament.

"All those who are at the headquarters of the nuclear plant are pushing to be a minister, if I am not a member of Parliament, he can not overthrow me. Nobody can also come and ask me to leave my house at 7 am and go and defend the party on the radio or on television. Politics is not the only way that you can get there. I am tired of the nuclear power station and embarrbadment. "

"I decided not to argue anymore because of NPP and their conduct. The way they use me and face me with all sorts of embarrbadments, I do not think I can continue. You can record and go play with them. Where I lived and where they treat me, I call it, "said Mr. Agyapong.
