The Government, through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, will support the activities of the Esther Ocloo Foundation, an organization that promotes industrialization and entrepreneurship.
This initiative aims to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founder of the Ghana Association of Industries (AGI) and Nkulenu Industries.
Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah disclosed this information during an interview after the launch of Ms. Esther Ocloo's centenary celebration in Accra.
"It is certainly a good thing to revive the entrepreneurial spirit and bring back the values that some of these industrialists have created, which have created jobs and many opportunities for young people of the time," he said. -he declares.
The celebration of 100 years of an industrialist and founder of the first local manufacturing company in Ghana is an idea to promote the spirit of enterprise and revive patriotism in the country.
Oppong Nkrumah praised the idea and urged the Foundation to involve the government in its activities.
"This is a good initiative and, as the government has always supported entrepreneurship and industrialization in the country, we will support the foundation in any way to support their quest to revive the legacy of the illustrious entrepreneur. ", he added.
Ms. Esther Ocloo pbaded away in 2002, as a famous industrialist, with a pbadion for creating more jobs and empowering young people.
The Esther Ocloo Foundation will organize activities in the Volta region and in other parts of the country in memory of the founder of the industries in Ghana.
Foundation spokesperson Elizabeth Ohene is confident that the next generation can learn from the initiatives the foundation will pursue.
