President Akufo-Addo unveiled the government's plans to harness the benefits of technology to produce local products.

According to a report from 3news.com.gh, he explained that the government would focus on building up its human capital.

This, he added, would be achieved by shaping the education system to enable young people to use modern technologies to contribute to economic growth.

"We have arrived at a major development hub in Ghana, where we are seeking to take steps to enable our economy to improve," He said the World Bank Vice President for Africa, Hafez Ghanem, had summoned him to Jubilee House on Monday, March 25, 2019.

He added that the Ghanaian commodity-producing economy was fragile even though it was essential to the country's economic structure.

He went on to say that the economy can no longer fully meet the needs of the country and that it is therefore necessary to modernize it.
