GRA develops electronic payment platforms

Tamale, April 9, GNA –
The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has developed an electronic payment platform
for the informal sector to pay their quarterly taxes with mobile money in
collaboration with banks.

The new system that
would start this year is part of the digitization process of GRA to leverage
technology to improve the tax administration.

This Monday was revealed at the launch of Tax and Good by the Northern Region
Week of governance in Tamale.

The organized program
by the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance
is to draw the public's attention to the importance of paying the tax.

The theme of the week
The celebration was "Produce your tax returns, pay your taxes, move Ghana beyond help".

Mr. Ahiakpor gave
the badurance that the staff and management of the GRA would work very hard
to achieve the goal of turnover for 2019.

He urged the public to
pay their taxes to give them the power to ask for the fair share of the national budget
cake.
