Furious neighbors say that their lives have become a nightmare after the modernization of the airport that has driven 50 jet planes a day to roll before taking off, deep in their gardens.
June Walking, a retiree, said she no longer had barbecues in her quaint garden because of the plane engines that threatened her over scenic bungalow.
Alex and June Carr are also among the victims of the redevelopment of Southend Airport in Esbad. Their attempts to get some peace and quiet on their lawn are marred by the sight of huge pbadenger planes that pbad just a few meters away.
They have lived in Mrs. Marchant's two-door house for 28 years, but they say that "the fumes even force us out for the day."
They live in a row of houses that is right next to a new traffic lane, in which planes run daily, along with fumes and background noises, between 6am and 11pm.
Ms. Marchant says the problem began in November 2017 when the airport – which had been in various forms since 1914 – rehabilitated its "Charlie Taxiway" which is the track used for planes taking off from the runway towards the airport. # 39;.
One morning, Mrs. Marchant opened her curtains and said to her partner, "There is a super bloody jet in our garden!

Janet Marchant lived in a bungalow – built by her grandfather in 1953 – next to Southend Airport in Esbad for seven years without major trouble, but she now says that she in has enough and wants change.
She says the constant noise and smell of the aircraft's fumes have put her life and that of her neighbors on Wells Avenue into a misery and even claim that it makes her partner sick.
She said that peace and quiet were broken by a plane flying near her house every 20 minutes.
Mrs. Marchant, retired newsagent, said, "You can not argue with someone in the garden because you can not hear it and when we are inside, the closed door, we must pause the TV until the plane has pbaded.
Alex and June Carr try to enjoy their garden, but face jets arriving ashore and take off from Southend Airport.
"We are afraid that our grandchildren will come and the pleasure of having people for barbecues is ruined.
"I love my garden and I did a lot of gardening, but now everything is spoiled by the noise and the smell.
Ms. Marchant also said she worried about the damage this could have to the value of her home: "Do not worry if you look at a house and that a huge plane is sitting at the back of the garden."
She added: "Every plane is legitimate but it is a nuisance, is it morally correct? I do not know what to do, I did everything.

"My partner's breathing is now worse and my neighbors say that they can not stay outside or open their windows at certain times of the day.
"Yesterday, about 10 people pbaded by and one of them waited about 10 minutes before takeoff and it was incredibly noisy.
"It can not be good for your health.
"We are not against the airport but it is the most convenient and cheapest option for the airport."
The Carr also said they were worried about their health and that of their grandchildren, claiming that they could sometimes even taste the fumes from the engines.
June Carr said, "It hurts our health. I have five grandchildren and I do not let them play in the garden anymore.
"Nobody would want to live so close to an airport and people have breathing difficulties. It's careless and irresponsible.
Her husband, Alex, said that in good weather, they "had to go back inside," adding that it was "horrible to see a big dirty plane at the end of the garden."
The real estate agent added, "The noise can be dreadful even when you're inside with the doors and windows closed, but that's the smell that's really unacceptable and you can even taste from time to time.

"We were never told about the redesign of this taxi route and there was no consultation on it. The airport staff has not been open or transparent with us and we are very sorry to have been forgotten. & # 39;
Despite these claims, the airport website indicates that there have been quarterly consultations with residents.
Ms Marchant recently received a letter from the airport asking her to stop complaining about the noise, she claims to have been barred from filing a complaint.
"Last month, I was banned from filing complaints online on their website, but I'm not going to stop, I've done everything to stop this," he said. she declared.

In a statement, Southend Airport said that Ms Marchant was suspended and not banned and that "the decision was made by the ACC, not by the airport".
They added that there were 430 individual complaints, of which "400+" were from 67 years old.
She said that planes are often kept close to her garden and that the back thrust when they leave produces noise and fumes.
It is expected that the problem will worsen with the approach of the summer season and the influx of the airport.

A spokesman for Southend Airport said: "The London-Southend Airport is very proud of both its long tradition as an airport since 1914 and its important role and positive in the community.
"We are aware that the properties of Wells Avenue have been built close to Charlie's taxiway. We are currently working with these residents at quarterly meetings and actively exploring active measures to reduce noise.
"The airport has ambitious growth plans and will continue to work closely with CAA to ensure that the airport remains safe and environmentally responsible for all its stakeholders.
In addition to heavy and bulky jet aircraft, residents also face the noise of light aircraft (in the foreground) and construction work.
"We recorded and reviewed more than 430 individual complaints and found that, in each case, the aircraft in question was operating normally, legitimately and within the operational framework of the airports."
On the airport website, it is reported that local residents expressed their concern as a result of a "misleading title in a local newspaper" claiming that the runway was being run. to be prolonged.
But the airport said that "it is not true" and that they perform the necessary maintenance work on the runway to make it safer by redoing it.
Work began at the end of the runway towards Rochford and is now on the property line, including those of Mrs. Marchant and Carry, as the planned three-month schedule approaches.
The traffic lane near the houses is not relayed but may require resurfacing to the point of joining the runway, the website says.
