According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Thompson's body was found early Tuesday morning in St. George, Utah, after his family filed the missing person's report Monday night, when he returned no parasailing expedition.
The officials were able to quickly locate his body through a GPS locator in his possession.
"It is with great sadness to inform everyone that Grant Thompson died last night," reads in a statement posted on Instagram "The King of Chance". "Grant's legacy will continue to live in the chain and in the global community he has created."
Thompson had ambaded more than 11 million subscribers on his YouTube channel "King of Random", posting videos and experimental clips on various projects. His most popular video, "How to make LEGO sweets!" Has been seen more than 26 million times.
