The life of a Ghana Grid Company Limited employee (GRIDCO), Maclean Amoah, is in danger after the police shot him.

Amoah, who works in Sefwi-Asawinso, in the Northwest region, was prosecuted and shot dead by police after being mistaken for an armed robber.

Policemen from Nyinahin, in the Atwima Mponua district, in the Ashanti region, pursued him after he refused to arrest him.

Mynewsgh.com reports that the police shot him in the right thigh after continuing hot with a BMW lounge car.

The incident occurred on Thursday, March 21, 2019 around 10 pm, when police suspected the victim, who was driving alone in her saloon car with registration number, GN 1124-12, d & rsquo; To be an armed robber.

The suspicions were based on the fact that he had not managed to stop at a barrier, so they followed him behind and shot him at Nyinahin, where he had parked.

According to Amoah, he saw in his mirrors that he was prosecuted, but refused to stop because he feared for his life, due to the notorious nature of the Bibiani-Kumasi road for his flying activities armed hand.

He added that residents of the city had threatened to kill him when the police abandoned him after the shooting.

Amoah is scheduled to undergo plastic surgery at Komfo Anokye University Hospital under strict supervision on his bed. Police say that he is an armed robber.

The information available suggests that his wife, who is a police officer in Dorma in the Ahafo region, insists that he is not an armed robber.

The vehicle in which the victim was traveling and his cell phone are under the custody of the Nyinahin police to facilitate investigations.
