WASHINGTON, DC, USA – The US Food and Drug Administration has announced that people should not drink the "Baby Gripe Water Herbal Food Supplement with Organic Ginger and Fennel Extracts" on Friday sold at Dollar General because of his risk of choking.
The product was recalled due to the presence of an undissolved ingredient, citrus flavonoid.
According to a statement from the FDA, drinking the product was not dangerous, but could cause difficulties when ingesting the product by sensitive people.
"To date, Kingston Pharma LLC has received a report signaling that a baby aged one week was having trouble swallowing the product and three citrus flavonoid-related complaints not being dissolved," announced the FDA in a statement.
The recall concerns all batches of the product, packaged in 4 oz. Amber bottles, white plastic caps with safety seals and an oral syringe, code CUP 8 5495400246 3.
