Group calls for the immediate dismissal of Kpone-Katamanso MCE | Politics

A group calling itself “the concerned NPP members in Kpone-Katamanso” is calling for the dismissal of the Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Director General (MCE), Solomon Appiah Tettey, with immediate effect.

The group claims MCE was part of a plot to sabotage the dream of a parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Hopeson Adorye, to become a Member of Parliament (MP).

The group also reveals that MCE, to show its hatred for Mr. Adorye, also recently sacked a three-time NPP women’s organizer for the constituency, Millicent Narkie and her “ crime ” is that she supported Mr. Hopeson Adorye.

A group statement read; The letter primarily relieves the former Constituency Women’s Organizer from her post as keeper of a Public Toilet in the constituency. Her ONLY crime is that she openly supported Mr. Adorye’s campaign and failed to remain silent when the MCE warned her to refrain from supporting a non-Ga (in this case, Hopeson Adorye ).

The absurdity of this letter is the fact that all MMDCEs, technically speaking, must now prepare their handing over of notes to leave their functions because their mandate coincides with that of the president. Interestingly, we have an MCE who is determined to fight with any member of the party who has supported Hopeson’s campaign. ”

KPONE-KATAMANSO MCE MUST BE CALLED TO ORDER

If there are two parliamentary candidates of the New Patriotic Party in the Greater Accra region who have worked tirelessly for the victory of the NPP in the elections which have just ended, certainly the party’s parliamentary candidate for Kpone-Katamanso, the name Hopson Adorye will come either first or second. .

However, for some strange reasons, some elements within his own party (NPP) at the constituency and regional level sabotaged his hard work and dreamed of becoming an MP. They used Machiavellian tactics to disaffect the former constituency secretary.

These selfish individuals led by MCE for the region, the Hon. Solomon Appiah Tettey worked tirelessly against his candidacy from the parliamentary primaries to the general election. Indeed, the MCE’s preferred candidate lost to Hopeson in the September 28, 2019 parliamentary primaries of the Orphan Constituency Party.

Now on to the substantive issue: Below is a letter written on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 (barely a week before the swearing-in of the President-elect, HE Nana Akufo-Addo) and signed by the Hon. Solomon Appiah Tettey, the MCE for Kpone-Katamanso with the title, “FRANCHISE AGREEMENT EXPIRY” and a copy given to a triple NPP Women organizer for the constituency, a Millicent Narkie.

The letter mainly relieves the former Constituency Women’s Organizer from her post as keeper of a Public Toilet in the constituency. Her ONLY crime is that she openly supported Mr. Adorye’s campaign and failed to remain silent when the MCE warned her to refrain from supporting a non-Ga (in this case, Hopeson Adorye ).

The absurdity of this letter is the fact that all MMDCEs, technically speaking, must now prepare their presentation of notes to leave their functions because their mandate coincides with that of the president. Interestingly, we have an MCE who is determined to go down with any member of the party who has supported Hopeson’s campaign.

I read an online post where the Chief Minister, the Hon. Yaw Osafo Marfo in an interview declares among other things that all MMDCE who sabotaged their parliamentary candidates will be removed from their posts as soon as possible. It is right and appropriate that such an important exercise begins with the MCE for Kpone-Katamanso, Hon. Solomon Appiah Tettey so that the constituency can have some peace and revamp their strategy for the 2024 elections.
