It has been a long time since anyone else that Ant and Dec won the Best Presenter Award at the National Television Awards and this year has not been different.
It was the 18th consecutive victory of the duo and they are now honored by the Guinness World Records.
The popular 43-year-old hosts were all smiles when they were presented with framed plaques commemorating their record win.
The night before, they had again won the best presenter award from the NTAs, even though Ant had spent a good part of his career, while spending time in rehabilitation for drug and alcohol problems.
He was also dragged into the courts for impaired driving after hitting his car against another vehicle.
After a stressful year, Dec was moved to tears by the victory as the duo accepted the British auditions Got Talent.
Sharing the good news with their 2.9 million followers on Instagram, the two men posted photos of their young man who seemed rather bluffed by their latest feat.
They wrote: "The adorable people of @guinnessworldrecords attended the #BGT auditions today and surprised us with that. This is lovely! Thanks X."
Plates were awarded to commemorate this feat: "The highest number of television awards given to television by the best presenter is 18 years old and was won by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (both British) on January 22nd. 2019. "
Controversial or not, he has become one of the most beloved television personalities of their generation.
Ant and Dec will be back at the helm of the British with Got Talent later this year.
