GWCL completes repair work at Akrofu

The Volta Regional Directorate of the Ghana Water Company has completed repair work on its line carrying treated water from Kpeve to Ho and surrounding areas.

The municipality's relatively stable water supply was disrupted last Saturday following the destruction of a 20-inch-diameter pipe between Akrofu and Bame in Ho West District, leaving residents of the regional capital stranded.

Confirmation of the completion of the repair work at Citi News, responsible for regional distribution of Volta, Ing. Seshie Tsatu said: "The work is complete and the pumping has begun, but it will take some time for the pipes to be loaded."

Ing. Tsatsu further explained that "communities located along the Kpeve Line will begin to benefit from a drinking water supply anytime from Friday".

The water is expected to arrive in the municipality of Ho at the end of Saturday's day.

The Ghana Water Company in a laity apologized for the inconvenience caused by residents of the municipality and badured that the "GCWL will always act in the best interest of its cherished customers".
