Former Bull Kris Dunn, an acquisition by a Hawks free agent, rehabilitated his right knee.

ATLANTA –Atlanta Hawks goalie Kris Dunn underwent an MRI on Nov. 24, which confirmed a disruption in the cartilage in his right knee.

He was able to participate in modified individual training and modified team practices. While showing constant improvement in the disruption of the cartilage in his right knee, Dunn began to experience discomfort in his right ankle and lower back as his loads on the court increased.

A recent MRI revealed loose cartilage inhibiting her range of motion in her ankle and creating offsets in her knees and lower back. A tele-visit with Dr. Martin O’Malley of the New York Special Surgery Hospital on December 23 confirmed the diagnosis.

Dunn is due to have arthroscopic surgery to remove loose cartilage from his right ankle on Wednesday, December 30 at the Special Surgery Hospital. An update will be provided following the procedure.
