HBO announced Monday morning the cancellation of Vice Media Tonight's Vice Media Ton Media TV show.
The company also announced the appointment of its new CEO, Jesse Angelo, who agreed to work to "find a new home" for the show.
HBO broadcast an exclusive "Vice News Tonight", which promoted the startup vice president in 2013. The show had an influential work during its brief broadcast. Many social media reacted sadly to the news and praised the series' ambitions, including Wall Street Journal reporter Ted Mann, who praised the series for covering the riots of 2017 in Charlottesville.
The cancellation of "Vice News Tonight" comes as the company changes CEOs for the second time in two years, following allegations by badual misconduct and growing financial difficulties.
