Lena Dunham is the show’s executive producer and even before it airs on streaming service HBO, she’s already facing issues in the form of extras leaving the show, according to Variety.“I got word from a friend in the industry, HBO has a new show called Generation coming out,” Twitter user Lilith Rose wrote in a Tweeter posted February 5. “It’s produced by Lena Dunham and earlier this week they brought real dead kittens to be dissected on set. No warning, people had trauma reactions.”

Rose goes on to say additional tweets that the extras had apparently said they would dissect frogs, but introduced themselves to “real dead kittens” on set and had to stay and film the scheduled scenes.
