Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said that he was alongside other occupants of the Chopper carrying in the state of Kogi.

The helicopter carrying the vice president crashed after a landing incident, but without casualties.

In a statement from his spokesman, Laolu Akande in Abuja, Osinbajo, thanked Nigerians for their concern over the incident of the helicopter that occurred in Kabba, in the state of Kogi.

Akande said that Professor Osinbajo, after the accident, had continued his commitments in the state, engaging the people on the next level plan of the Buhari administration. He quoted the vice president: "We are safe and sound.

Thank you to all those who have expressed their concern, and thank you to the crew who handled the situation well.

"We believe that God will continue to protect us, as well as Nigeria, even if we climb higher. We continue our fighting to the next level in Kabba, Kogi State. "

Speaking at Obaro's Kabba Palace, his first stop on his state visit, Osinbajo expressed gratitude to God for rescuing the Chopper crash.

He added, "We are extremely grateful to the Lord for preserving our lives from the incident that has just happened. Everyone is safe and no one is maimed. God kept us alive and safe, delivered us from death so that we could do more for our people and our country. "

It will be remembered that Saturday's incident was the second time that Mr. Osinbajo's helicopter landed.

In June 2017, he survived a similar accident when the helicopter in which he was traveling crashed shortly after taking off in Gwagawalada, Abuja.

He was in the regional council to attend the graduation ceremony at 40 senior officials of the Nigerian Customs Service.

Efforts to find the real cause of the accident did not succeed, Akande not taking calls on his GSM line.
