Henry Quartey orders dismissal of Ayawaso central health worker for disappearance at work

Mr. Quartey, while embarking on a decongestion exercise on Monday, July 26, demanded the immediate dismissal of the municipal environmental health officer of the central municipality of Ayawaso, Emmanuel Sonni Alohleveh.

Alarmed by the dirt accumulated on the shoulders of the road, the regional minister questioned the director of municipal coordination, Eugenia Agbenyegah, on the fate of the head of environmental health (MEHO) of the Assembly, Emmanuel Sonni Alohleveh.

In her response, Ms Eugenia Agbenyegah informed the Minister that the municipal environmental health official had requested permission from her office for medical reasons.

Mr Quartey, speaking to media at the scene, said Sonni Alohleveh had been absent from his post for two weeks without any form of notice to his superiors.

The regional minister however expressed his disappointment with the work of MEHO, adding that he should see the said letter of apology for duty with the doctor’s report and Emmanuel Sonni Alohleveh in his office as soon as possible.
