Hepatitis A outbreak worsens throughout the Bay Area

An epidemic of hepatitis A is spreading across the country and Tampa Bay is one of the hardest hit areas in the state of Florida.

Hepatitis A is a preventable liver disease that is spread through contact with food, beverages or other items contaminated with small amounts of feces from an infected person.
