Dr. Jamil said that Pakistan had become the only country in the world where hepatitis B and C infections were on the rise, adding that the main cause of infection was lack of awareness, reuse syringes, insufficient control of infections, unsafe blood transfusions and the use of unsterilized products. dental and surgical equipment in the country.
Dr. Shahid Ahmed said that every Pakistani should be screened for hepatitis B and C.
