Herb Ritts Exhibition: Photos of Bowie, Madonna & More at the New York Museum

The work of celebrity celebrity and fashion photographer Herb Ritts is exhibited in a museum in upstate New York State.

"Herb Ritts: The Rock Portraits" presents the six new exhibitions that will open on Monday, April 1 at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown.

Ritts was one of the world's most famous photographers in the 1980s and 1990s, when he became known for his elegant portraits of models, rock musicians and Hollywood stars.

The Fenimore exhibition, hosted by the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, includes photographs of famous characters such as David Bowie, Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney, Bob Dylan, Prince and Madonna.

Ritts died of AIDS in 2002.

The Ritts exhibition takes place during Labor Day, September 2nd.
