Netflix badured its subscribers on Twitter that its two-step intro would remain unchanged. Viewers will begin to see the new animation on all originals presented for the first time on or after February 1, the company said. It will be traded for other Netflix originals "over the next few months," added Netflix.

In a blog post announcing the new introduction, Netflix explained his motivation for change.

"In simple terms, we have evolved and wanted to update this iconic moment of the brand to reflect the many choices available to our fans today," the company wrote.

The light beams of the new Netflix design are supposed to represent the content of the company.

"The new ident animation reflects the diversity and variety of our content – our favorite part is when the Netflix symbol breaks out into a color palette – inspired by the spectrum of stories, emotions, languages, fans and creators who we are as a brand, "writes the company.
