God's hidden message of war

Not for the first time, God of War director Cory Barlog has been an idiot, and we love him. Not one to fear a cheeky joke on Twitter, Barlog seems to have hinted at a sequel to the excellent title of action … Again. Listen, we all know that God of War 2 – or his name – is inevitable at some point, but you have to thank Cory for his creativity in social media.

You see, the tweets in question were made more than a month ago, going back to April 21st. Barlog has written a series of articles on the development of God of War, and although they are certainly a fun read, they also hide a message.

As noted on Reddit – at least that's where we found it – the first letter of each tweet, when combined, sets out a very relevant statement, given the events of God of War. It is written: "RAGNAROK IS ARRIVE". For those who are not aware, Ragnarok is essentially the end of the world in Norse mythology. There is a mbadive final battle, gods are killed and the world ravaged by natural disasters. When all is over, the world is reborn. Epic in the true sense of the word.

And yes, as some of you probably know, this is not the first time that "Ragnarok arrives" appears as God's secret message of war. Just days before Barlog published its tweets, a theme of the PlayStation 4 God of War was released, celebrating the first anniversary of the game. The theme describes Kratos and Atreus aboard a ship and engraved at etching on the side of the ship? Ragnarok is coming.

We guess God of War: Ragnarok sounds good.
