High school student caught with gun supposed to shoot teacher

A student at a community secondary school in Ikot Ewa, Cross River State, Nigeria, was caught with a gun that was supposed to shoot her teacher.

According to eyewitness Otunva Charles Edem, he said the girl brought the gun to school a day after her teacher asked her to cut her dyed hair.

He further explained that as a rule, students are not allowed to come to school with dyed or overgrown hair. However, when told to cut her hair, she returned the next day with a gun to shoot her teacher.

Fortunately, the school principal saw her with the gun and sounded the alarm, prompting people from the community and the school’s students and teachers to gather at the scene.

They managed to hold her back and prevented her from expressing her intentions.

During questioning, she revealed that the gun was given to her by her boyfriend, an older man who lives in a nearby community.

The case has since been turned over to the police for further investigation.
