High schools in Tarkwa receive garbage cans

The Iduapriem mine (AAI) presented 30 garbage cans to Tarkwa and Fiaseman Senior.
High Schools of the Municipality of Tarkwa Nsuaem to promote
good hygiene and sanitation

The gesture is also to ensure a user-friendliness
environment conducive to effective teaching and learning in schools.

In addition to the two beneficiary schools, the
Mine intends to extend the donation to selected core schools and selected hospitals
and the host communities in the municipality.

In all, the mine hopes to distribute 72
garbage cans for a total cost of 33 000 GH.

Present the articles to the respective
schools at separate ceremonies, the
Superintendent of Social Investments, Mr. Enoch Osei, on behalf of the Executive Committee
Director, said that goodwill was part of their social enterprise
the responsibility to help prevent malaria and other related diseases and to
maintain cleanliness in its host communities.

He indicated that AAI Mine would continue to
working to mitigate health risks in the workplace and to respond to the health of the community
problems in the areas in which it operates.

Mr. Osei urged students to keep
their environment clean, avoid garbage and always make sure that they got rid of
the dirt around their schools.

He further urged students to take their
study seriously and respect the rules and regulations in their schools.

The director of Tarkwa High School
Paulina Akosua Manu and Assistant to the Director
responsible for the administration of Fiaseman Senior High Secondary School, Ms.
Florence Tawiah, who received garbage cans from their respective schools, expressed their gratitude to
the mine and gave the badurance that the bins would be used wisely.
