The Ministry of Roads and Highways through the Ghana Highways Authority announced the disruption of vehicle traffic on sections of the N1 highway and some urban roads at Darkuman in Accra.
This is to allow GRIDco to undertake the roping of transmission line conductors on the N1 and in certain areas of Darkuman, said a statement released and signed by Christian Nti, Acting Director General of the Ghana Highways Authority and copied to the Ghanaian news agency in Accra.
The disruption, he said, is from Saturday, September 11, 2021 to Thursday, September 30, 2021, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
He therefore advised motorists to follow traffic diversion signs to be placed on various sections of the George Walker Bush Expressway and on certain urban roads in Darkuman.
The statement also urged the public to contact the corporate affairs department of GRIDco or the public affairs division of the Ghana Highway Authority for any clarification.
He apologized for the inconvenience caused.
