HNA group chairman taken away by police over suspected crime – company statement

HONG KONG, Sept. 24 (Reuters) – The chairman of the Chinese group HNA, Chen Feng, has been taken away by police for suspected criminal offenses, according to a statement on his official WeChat account on Friday.

HNA CEO Tan Xiangdong was also taken away by police for suspected misdemeanor, he added.

The group said its bankruptcy and restructuring work was progressing smoothly.
