Lily McQueen (Lauren McQueen) will die after her self-destruction has led to an infection, Metro.co.uk may reveal in exclusivity. The troubled teenager has been fighting self-injury for some time. The show focuses on her and revisits her inner demons this year as she is torn between her husband Prince (Malic Thompson-Dwyer) and her lover Romeo Quinn (Owen Warner).

Lauren told Metro.co.uk, "It was an honor for me to tell such a huge and responsible story. Although it has been difficult and emotional, I really hope that I have done justice to justice and hope that it will increase public awareness.

Hussain told Metro.co.uk: "We grow up with these characters – we laugh with them, we cry with them and we show the consequences of their sometimes disastrous actions.
"Meeting Bryan at 10 Downing Street was like one of those teenage fantasies in which we meet someone from the TV and we tell him to come on the set! He told me the story of Lily's mental health and said that they had read my poetry and really wanted me to be involved. They sent me home with scripts and excerpts from Lily's story – before I knew it, I was overwhelmed by Lily's life.
And I wrote everything in one night – Lauren, who plays Lily, has tears in her eyes and the whole room is silent. They even told me that I had it in one. I was really able to communicate with this Lily character through the pain that I had suffered, I could understand it, it was a beautiful thing. It's pretty intimate! They also let me make an appearance. I played with a specialist mental health doctor in one of the scenes. & # 39;
Hussain also wrote the song "Lily's Theme" with singer and songwriter Sonna Rele, who will accompany the final credits. And he admitted that it was difficult to find the right balance between getting the right tone and not denigrating the serious problem in any way.
He thought, "The song was hard – we had three attempts. It is difficult to talk about death and to pbad in a loving, angry way, but without accepting it. Hollyoaks trusted me with freedom but there was a lot of respect. But I have not diluted my art – if you want to make an impact on people, you have to talk to them as they know it.
'It's called Gone Too Soon – it's really deep. I am angry, I lost friends to suicide. There is a powerful phrase: "I will tell you that I love you and I hate you if you ever come to see me." That sums up what we feel like losing someone when you do not know why. Working on it was intense, it brought to light a lot of feelings. The beauty is that I am able to articulate what someone is going through.
"When we see the scene with Diane collapsing and everything with Prince and Romeo, I start to go goose bumps thinking about it. The power of art is incredible. And Lauren absolutely nails it. There was something so remarkable about the cast – I had to watch it many times and it hit me every time. I am so proud to have been part of it. I will continue this work hoping that this will really help people understand the consequences of self harm.
& # 39; It takes a village to raise a child. We are all responsible for mutual vigilance. So many people have made an impact on Lily and where she has arrived and will be affected by her path. The case of Lily and her sanity will show that there is more than the union that separates us and hopes that it will help bring people together.
"People will talk about it and you really have to talk about it. The reason I really started writing was because I was really unhappy with the way others wrote and did not talk about things like that. What about the real problems and what's really going on? With the work I do, you never know who will help, but you know that you help and this plot and this episode will help a lot. To have had the opportunity to be part of that has been incredible. The change begins with the conversation. '
