Hundreds of visitors gathered to take part in a unique Easter procession in Germany, during which the horses are dressed in their traditional Bavarian or medieval clothes and parade through the city.

The inhabitants of Ettendorf participate every year in the tradition, transmitted from generation to generation since 1891.

About 500 people took part this year in the "Georgi walk", which takes its name from St George.

By two in front of the church, the horses are blessed by the priest, who sprinkles them with holy water.

"Today we have this beautiful panorama, with flowering fields and festive people, it's really nice and nice to be part of it," said Konrad Haberlandt, from Traunstein, who had donned his "Lederhosen" family to participate in the event.
