House of Gucci posters: the shocking transformation of Jared Leto

As fans continue to wait for MGM to release the official trailer for “House of Gucci”, the studio has gone ahead and presented the first set of character posters for Ridley Scott’s upcoming murder drama. . A first photo had already been released of Lady Gaga and Adam Driver as Patrizia Reggiani and Maurizio Gucci, meaning the new batch of posters gives a first glimpse of Jared Leto as Paolo Gucci, from Al Pacino as Aldo Gucci and Jeremy Irons as Rodolfo Gucci. Leto appears under prosthesis in what is the actor’s latest unrecognizable cinematic transformation.

Written by Roberto Bentivegna and based on Sara Gay Forden’s book “The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamor, and Greed”, Scott’s next film stars Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani, who was found guilty of orchestrating his assassination. ex-husband and former boss of the Gucci fashion house, Maurizio Gucci (Adam Driver). Reggiani served 16 years in prison for this crime. The cast of the set also includes “Stillwater” actress Camille Cottin as Paola Franchi, as well as Jack Huston, Salma Hayek and Reeve Carney.

After the publication of the first photo of “House of Gucci” earlier this year, Patrizia Gucci, the great-granddaughter of the founder of the Guccio Gucci house, released a statement to The Associated Press condemning the project. One of Patrizia Gucci’s biggest concerns with Scott’s new film is the casting of Al Pacino and Jared Leto as Aldo and Paolo Gucci, respectively. As the Gucci heir put it: “My grandfather was a very handsome man, like all Guccis, and very tall, blue-eyed and very elegant. He’s played by Al Pacino, who isn’t very tall already, and this pic shows him big, short, with sideburns, really ugly. It is shameful, because he does not look like him at all.

As for Leto, Patrizia condemned the set photos revealing the Oscar winner’s “shaggy hair and a lilac corduroy suit” as Paolo. “Horrible, horrible,” she said. “I still feel offended.”

“House of Gucci” is one of two new Scott films to arrive this fall. Scott’s “The Last Duel” is set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September before making its theatrical debut on October 15. “House of Gucci” is slated to hit theaters on November 24 via United Artists Releasing (the distribution arm of MGM).
