UEFA has released the details of the distribution of the UEFA Champions League 2019/20 clubs' revenue as well as solidarity payments for the qualifying phases.
The gross commercial revenues of the UEFA Champions League 2019/20, UEFA Europa League 2019/20 and 2019 UEFA Super Cup are estimated at around 3.25 billion euros.
Of an estimated gross amount of 3.25 billion euros, 295 million euros will be deducted to cover organizational / administrative costs related to competitions and 7% (227.5 million euros) will be reserved for solidarity payments. Of the € 2.7 billion in net revenue, 6.5% will be reserved for European football and will remain with UEFA, and the remaining 93.5% will be distributed to participating clubs.
On the basis of the income forecasts and allocations defined above, the total amount available for distribution to participating clubs in 2019/20 amounts to 2.55 billion euros, of which 2.04 billion will be distributed to clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League and Super UEFA tournaments. 510 million euros will be distributed to clubs participating in the UEFA Europa League. In addition, the contributions from the UEFA Champions League clubs will be as follows:
• 50 million euros at the share of the UEFA Europa League clubs
• € 10 million to fund solidarity payments to clubs eliminated in the qualifying phase of the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League 2019/20.

Share for 12 clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League play-offs
A total of 30 million euros will be paid to the clubs involved in the UEFA Champions League play-offs: the eliminated clubs will each receive a fixed payment of 5 million euros. The winners of the play-offs will not receive any specific payments for this round but will receive payments for their participation in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Share for clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League (group stage)
Planned amounts (total: € 1.95 billion)
The net income available to participating clubs will be divided into four different pillars:
• 25% will be allocated to the departure costs (488 M €).
• 30% will be allocated to fixed performance-related amounts (€ 585m).
• 30% will be allocated based on the ranking of performance coefficients over ten years (€ 585 million).
• 15% will be allocated to variable amounts (market pool) (€ 292 million).
Departure expenses (488 M €)
Each of the 32 clubs qualified for the group stage can expect to receive a group allocation of 15.25 M €, divided into a deposit of 14.5 M € and a balance payment of 0.75. M €.
Fixed amounts (€ 585 million)
Performance bonuses for the group stage will be paid for each match: € 2.7 million per win and € 900,000 per draw. Undistributed amounts (€ 900,000 per draw) will be grouped and redistributed among the clubs competing in the group stage according to their number of victories.
Qualifying clubs for the round of 16 may expect to receive the following amounts:
• qualification for the round of 16: € 9.5 million per club
• qualifying for the quarter-finals: € 10.5 million per club
• qualification for the semifinals: 12 M € per club
• qualification for the final: € 15 million per club
• The winners of the UEFA Champions League can expect to reap an additional 4 million euros.
• Both clubs qualified for the 2019 UEFA Super Cup can expect each to receive 3.5 million euros. The winners will reap an extra 1 million euros.
Clbadification of the coefficients (585 M €)
A new ranking was introduced last season based on performance over a ten year period. In addition to the points scored during this period, this ranking includes bonus points to win the European / European Champion Clubs 'Cup, the UEFA Europa League / UEFA Cup and the Winners' Cup. Based on these parameters, a ranking was established and the total amount of 585.05 million euros was divided into "coefficient shares", each share worth 1.108 million euros. The lowest-ranked team will receive one share (€ 1.108m). One share will be added to each rank and the highest ranking team will receive 32 shares (€ 35.46 million).

Market Pool (€ 292m)
The estimated available amount of 292 million euros will be allocated in accordance with the proportional value of each television market represented by the participating clubs in the UEFA Champions League (from the group stage). The different market shares will be distributed to the participating clubs of each badociation.
The various amounts distributed from the market pool, club by club, depend on five factors:
1) the actual final amount in the market pool
2) the composition of the group of clubs participating in the UEFA Champions League 2019/20
3) the number of clubs of a given badociation participating in the UEFA Champions League 2019/20
4) the final position of each club competing in the national championship of their previous season
5) the performance of each club in the UEFA Champions League 2019/20
Solidarity payments
Solidarity payments for the qualification phase of UEFA club competitions
In the new distribution system, 107.5 million euros will be distributed to clubs as follows.
UEFA Champions League – The champions and the paths of the league
Each national champion club that does not qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League will receive € 260,000 in addition to the amounts due for participation in each qualifying round.
Each club participating in the qualifying rounds that does not qualify for the UEFA Champions League play-offs will receive the following amounts per round played:
• preliminary round – 230 000 €
• first qualifying round – € 280,000
• second qualifying round – € 380,000
• third qualifying round – € 480,000 (only for clubs eliminated from the championship circuit, as clubs eliminated from the league circuit qualify directly for the UEFA Europa League group stage and thus benefit from distribution system)
• No solidarity payments will be paid during the play-offs, as the clubs concerned will benefit from the centralized distribution of the UEFA Champions League / UEFA Europa League phase.
Solidarity payments to clubs that are not qualified for the group stage of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League
Solidarity payments to non-participating clubs via their national badociations will represent 4% of the total gross revenue of both competitions.
A total estimated amount of € 130 million will therefore be distributed to national badociations for their clubs.
