Fleishman's fitness form makes it more accessible to Dohring.
"He was very interested in the artistic aspect of fitness," Dohring said. "I took this more than just, say, jump 1000 times on a table and you're sore the next day. For what purpose? What are you trying to make you look like?
As an actor, the image is one of Dohring's tools. He could tell Fleishman to create an image.
"He weighed 98 pounds in high school and he read comics all day," Dohring said. "He was from Maine. He just saw in the comics the perfect physique and tries to imitate him in his own life and, by extension, with some of the people he was working with. I have somehow found an interest in going beyond physical fitness and perhaps getting more into the aesthetic nature of lifting. "

One thing that Dohring learns from Flieshman is that not all exercises are created equal.
"I think people badociate one or two things with their health or fitness," Dohring said. "I think maybe a smaller size contrasts with the shoulder tips and that differential, so when they see that it's a bit overwhelming. They do not know what's going on. It looks like ordinary or comic.

"What's cool is that you can do special exercises to get that result," Dohring said. "Being able to work with one goal in mind and then achieve that goal over a period of years is pretty cool and just an interesting hobby."
