Founder of the Atta-Mills Institute, Samuel Koku Anyidoho questioned the basis on which John Mahama expected to overturn the verdict of the Electoral Commission (EC) which declared Nana Akufo-Addo to the presidency.
According to him, the events leading up to the Supreme Court petition should have influenced the NDC 2020 presidential candidate against the Supreme Court candidacy.

This is part of a barrage of claims by the former deputy general secretary of the NDC in recent times, which has led many to question his position in the party’s activities.
Let John Mahama fight his own battles and leave the NDC alone to exist.

On Thursday, a seven-member panel of Supreme Court justices, in a unanimous decision, rejected the election petition filed by Mr. Mahama.
According to the Supreme Court, this is because the case was unfounded.

The party’s former deputy general secretary appears to have fallen out with some of its members since his unsuccessful attempt to challenge the post of NDC general secretary in November 2018, a date that featured significantly in his Thursday rants.

He was heard publicly affirming the confidence of the leader of the ruling party, which was not characteristic of the opposition party.
Mr. Anyidoho, among others, also highlighted what he describes as “immediate reforms to the NDC”.

On February 8, Koku Anyidoho was suspended from the party after two petitioners filed a formal complaint for acting “in violation of the party’s disciplinary code for its members as contained in the NDC constitution”.
Meanwhile, John Dramani Mahama expressed his disappointment at the Supreme Court’s unanimous decision to dismiss his election petition.
Reacting to the ruling, the former president hinted that his defeat came as no surprise as the Supreme Court had rejected numerous claims filed by his legal team.
“Although I know that we are legally bound by the decision of the highest court in the land, the Supreme Court of Ghana, I do not agree with the process of the trial and the court’s decision,” he said. he reported to his office in Cantonements, Accra.
